Each week, the girls over at The Broke and the Bookish think up a fun theme for the week and participating bloggers around the net join in. The theme for this week is:

Top Ten New to Me Authors ❤

Thanks to the lovely Mary for the most of these intros, but I also have to thank my lovely Twitter friends for some of these! In no particular order here are my Top Ten favourite new to me authors!!

1.Jodi Meadows. Oh, I love Jodi. She’s amazing. (:

2.Erin Albert. Thanks to Crystal for introducing us! I cannot wait for her next book!

3.Megan Shepherd. I love Megan’s imagining of HG Wells’s Island of Dr Moreau and can’t wait to see her world continue in Her Dark Curiosity.

4.Cassandra Clare. Technically I started The Mortal Instruments in December 2012, but still. I did the majority of my reading of her works this year.

5.Brodi Ashton. I love Greek Mythology and Brodi’s retelling of the Persephone myth is great. I can’t wait to see where it all ends in Evertrue.

6.Marissa Meyer. Fairy tale retellings are great! She’s such an incredible author.

7.Amy Plum. I loved Revenants and can’t wait for After the End.

8.Lauren DeStefano. The Chemical Garden trilogy was great! I’m sad it’s over!

9.Beth Revis. She’s an incredible wordsmith!

10.Rachel Harris. Oh, Rachel. I love her. YA and NA. She creates such great characters!

What authors did you meet this year? Tell me about them! (:

Waahhhh! I somehow left Megan Shepherd off my list. Absolutely loved her book! 🙂 Also love Beth Revis and Lauren DeStefano. So many new authors out there to discover and so little time. Great list!

Good list! Quite a few of these are on my TBR list…oh, poor, poor TBR list that never seems to ever get any shorter! 🙂 I love fairytale retellings, too, so lots of similar tastes here 🙂

  3. I like your list! Wonder why… 😉
